Olivia Rodrigo provides the soundtrack for the new part of the film series The Hunger Games. The song is called Can’t Catch Me Now and will be released Friday, November 3.
The film The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes gets a soundtrack album with seventeen songs. Rodrigo’s song is considered the first single.
Rodrigo writes on Instagram that she is very happy that she was able to write a song for the film. She succeeds Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Lorde, among others, who wrote music for the earlier films. A fragment of Can’t Catch Me Now can be heard in a new trailer for the film.
Rodrigo released her second album earlier this year GUTS out. The singer scored hits with songs like Drivers License, Good 4 U and Vampire.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will be released in Dutch cinemas on November 16. The film takes place before the events of the previously released parts. It stars Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer and Viola Davis.
