Update“It’s true that I was stupid, but I don’t know where they get those two million euros from.” This is what it sounded like in court to a 39-year-old former employee of the city of Genk who allegedly dealt ‘the best drugs in Limburg’ for nine years. Together with two colleagues and his neighbor, he claimed to be only a small player. “Who installed that hidden space in your car?” the criminal judge asked. The messages from the Sky phone also told a different story than R.’s statements. And that now results in a stiff prison sentence and an expensive bill.
