The passenger version of the Peugeot Expert is called Traveler and the passenger car version of the Partner also has a different name: Rifter. The Peugeot Rifter is only available in the Netherlands with a fully electric drivetrain and it is the electric Peugeot e-Rifter that has now been significantly facelifted after the Partner.
The updated Partner has been given a new face and the facelifted Peugeot e-Rifter also differs visually from the pre-facelift version. The front of the e-Rifter also bears striking resemblance to that of its delivery brother Partner. The headlights have a different shape and are even slightly pinched towards the flanks of the car. The light units are filled with three vertical LED segments. Also new: the grille and bumper work. Between the headlights we find a densely segmented panel, one floor lower we find a bumper decorated with cross elements. We also see such cross elements on the flanks, around the wheel arches and at the rear of the Peugeot e-Rifter. At the rear, the Peugeot logo makes way for a large-format brand name.
The Peugeot e-Rifter does not get the 156 hp powertrain with 51 kWh battery that Stellantis has recently brought to its electric models. The e-Rifter should ‘normally’ make do with 136 hp and 270 Nm strong electric motor and the 50 kWh battery. This combination is good for an electric range of up to 320 kilometers. Before the refresh, the e-Rifter had a range of 280 kilometers. The Peugeot e-Rifter zooms from a standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds.
Peugeot also says that the interior of the Rifter has been updated, but it has not yet released any images of this. According to the French, the e-Rifter will have a new 10-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster with the same diagonal and new seat upholstery. According to Peugeot, parking assistance has been improved, among other things. Peugeot will soon supply the electric e-Rifter as Allure, Emotion and Excellence. It is available in two lengths, the shortest being 4.4 meters long and the larger version stretching over a distance of 4.7 metres. Both flavors are available as a five- and seven-seater.
Prices and information regarding the Dutch market will follow.
