Still, I went back to Telenet with conviction… yes, they are expensive… but yes, they provide – in my location because it is apparently quite location sensitive – simply the best service, speeds and reliability.

I can’t speak for others and I hear a lot of complaints, but if I had 2 failures in the entire last year then it’s a lot… Speed ​​of the cheaper rivals is shocking as soon as you even use 2 or 3 devices. but basic online content is used (I’m not talking about 4K) and Proximus has comparable prices but – in my experience and again in my location – a much slower customer service.

Now with fiber, there is an – essentially Proximus – fiber optic connection ready in my house… maybe I will test the fiber from Proximus or one of their partners… but given my past experiences I’m a bit reserved.

…Here I can actually say: Telenet always works, except for general disruptions which have been very rare in recent years (despite their problems with their new system)… and I find that reliability very important as I have 60% from my working hours from home to work…
