Many large machines that were until recently used by Frederik Laeremans, known from the TV program The Sky is the Limit, are sold by auction to the highest bidder. This concerns surplus equipment that is no longer used by the acquirer of the Superbeton company. The crawler cranes and other machines are for sale at the new Limburg auction house Pro+ Auctions, which has just brought on board the experienced auctioneer Hugh Driessen.
This summer it became known that Frederik Laeremans has sold his company Superbeton in Aarschot. The 35-year-old entrepreneur, who appeared for years in the TV program The Sky is the Limit, had to swallow heavy losses and was no longer willing to face the sky-high challenges in the sector. The Limburg-based Iterum took over Superbeton’s activities, but after drawing up the inventory, it was left with a lot of surplus equipment. This is now being sold publicly through auction house Pro+ Auctions.
“This concerns a significant amount of large machines that were still actively used until now,” says Luc Didden of Pro+ Auctions. “We have various earth-moving machines on offer, such as crawler cranes, wheel cranes, mini diggers, dumpers, etc. They are all still in good condition, so ideal for companies with growth plans.” The full range can be found at this link. The viewing day is on November 16 (Kruisbosstraat 18 in Bilzen) and bids are possible until November 23.
Experience on board
To manage these and other auctions at Pro+ Auctions, the Limburg house can now call on Hugh Driessen. The experienced auctioneer, with exactly 40 years of expertise in the sector, joins Luc Didden in the management (photo). “One of my functions at Pro+ Auctions will be concluding purchase deals,” says Hugh Driessen. “It means that we pay the seller of goods that are auctioned via Pro+ Auctions an advance on the purchase price. In this way, he immediately receives cash and does not have to wait until the buyers at the auction have paid for their lots. .”
Attracting the experienced auctioneer should give start-up Pro+ Auctions wings. “We indeed set the bar high,” says Luc Didden. “The sky is not our limit…”, he concludes with a wink.
