First rehearsal of the Eurovision Song Contest is over: Mustii combines white with glitter, Joost Klein shares stage with blue chicken

The European broadcasting umbrella organization EBU has distributed a number of photos and video images of the first rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden. Our own Mustii and Joost Klein, who represents our northern neighbors, are also present at the appointment.

It’s not yet ‘for real’, but it will undoubtedly have felt a lot more real: Mustii took the stage for the first time in Malmö on Tuesday to perform his song ‘Before the party’s over’.

The glitter of the official video is also reflected in the shirt that Mustii wears on stage. As announced, he combined it with a white outfit and with the many microphones that can also be seen in the video clip. In total, our compatriot was given half an hour to practice his performance. In that time he was able to perform his song three times.

On Thursday, May 9, Mustii will be in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest. According to the bookmakers, he has a good chance of qualifying for the final on Saturday, May 11.

A while after Mustii it was also up to the candidate of our northern neighbors: Joost Klein, who is also very popular in our country. Joost wore his now legendary blue suit with pointed shoulders, which he designed himself. His sidekick on stage, Appie Musa, was dressed as a blue bird. Reportedly, Musa’s costume almost didn’t make it through the cargo hold door.

When the Dutch delegation left for the music event, Joost said that he does not like images of the rehearsals being released. De Fries wants to make his performance a surprise until the very end. Mustii also shares that opinion.

Joost Klein is also in the second semi-final on Thursday evening. According to bookmakers, he is one of the favorites for the final win.
