Anderlecht can still dream of the title four match days from the end. The Purple & White are still in the lead in the Jupiler Pro League, but they have little surplus. Last weekend they saw Club Brugge come alongside and Union come back within one point.

In the final matches, the strong players will have to step up at Anderlecht to get the team through some difficult top matches. Starting with Sunday, when they have to visit Union. Then many eyes will be focused on Kasper Dolberg, among others, who has to score goals.

Dolberg launched his career again at Anderlecht

The Danish striker was Anderlecht’s surprising first signing last summer. The 26-year-old was seen as a top talent during his Ajax period a few years ago, but after several difficult years he now moved to Lotto Park for 5 million euros.

Many then expected that Dolberg’s passage might be short-lived. He seemed to come to Anderlecht mainly to relaunch his career and once that happened, it was expected that he would quickly take a step higher again.

Dolberg is looking forward to the Champions League

But judging by the words of Dolberg himself, he seems to be staying with Anderlecht next season, especially if the club manages to win the title. “Being able to hear the Champions League anthem in this stadium next year, participating in the best competition in the world… It is something that everyone would enjoy,” Het Nieuwsblad said.

Dolberg seems to be looking forward to an adventure in the champions ball with Anderlecht. If that doesn’t work and he still wants to leave, Anderlecht might be able to get a nice amount. Dolberg has already scored fourteen times this season and, according to Transfermarkt, his value has risen again to 12 million euros.
