The theft of a drill with a tracker has led to the discovery of more than a thousand items believed to have been stolen in the United Kingdom. The police seized tools, a quad bike and six caravans, among other things. The total value of all those items may be more than 500,000 pounds (582,000 euros), reports the BBC.

The discovery is thanks to the owner of the drilling machine. He was tired of being robbed and had equipped his tools with trackers with which the location could be determined. This ultimately led to a police raid in Cranbrook (Kent) and the arrest of seven suspects.

The police hope to be able to transfer the found items back to the original owners. An extensive list will be made public later. People who want to collect something must be able to prove that it really concerns their property.
