There may be strong winds in our country on Sunday. The RMI warns of gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

A depression core will move north along the English east coast on Sunday, the RMI reports, causing strong winds from the south and southwest in our direction. “Inland, the wind becomes quite strong to sometimes strong (5-6 Beaufort) with gusts of 65 to 75 kilometers per hour,” it said.

“At sea the wind becomes strong to very strong (6-7 Beaufort) with gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. At sea the wind becomes very strong to stormy (7-8 Beaufort).”

Furthermore, clear skies and cloud fields will alternate on Sunday, with a shower here and there. “A more pronounced squall line is likely to develop over the central part of the country by evening.” According to the RMI, there may be some showers on Sunday evening, especially in the central part of the country. Afterwards it will be largely dry with broad clear spells. The wind decreases to weak to moderate and gradually shrinks south to southeast. The minimums are between 4 and 8 degrees. Towards the end of the night some mist or fog may form locally.
