Prince Harry will return to the United Kingdom next week, it is unclear whether there will be a meeting with his family

Prince Harry will visit the United Kingdom for the first time since February in just over a week. He will attend the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games, his spokesperson said, but it is unclear whether he will take the opportunity to see his family.

On May 8, Harry will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London to mark the tenth edition of the Invictus Games, a sporting event for wounded soldiers, which he founded. The prince, who lives in the US, will give a lecture, after which actor Damian Lewis will recite a poem.

It has been February since Harry was last in his home country. That was after the cancer diagnosis of his father, King Charles. In an interview with ABC news he said at the time that he “jumped on a plane as soon as he could” and that he was very grateful for the time he was able to spend with his father. He also suggested that there would be further visits to the United Kingdom, which he exchanged for the United States in 2020.

A lot of ambiguity

It is not yet clear whether his wife Meghan Markle will accompany him. It is also not known whether there will be a gathering with his family during the visit. Since February it has been announced that his sister-in-law, Princess Kate, is also suffering from cancer. It is also not known whether this led to rapprochement with his brother, Crown Prince William.

It was just announced that King Charles will resume his normal duties next week after doctors say he has made excellent progress in his recovery. Next Tuesday he will start with a visit to a medical institution where cancer is being treated.
